Mechanic/Fitter

We have an extensive fleet of trucks, utes, loaders, excavators, tractors and much more.

You will be responsible for.

  • Vehicle and plant servicing and repairs.

  • Assist with NHVR maintenance management for heavy vehicles.

  • Work with specialist subcontractors to carry out repairs and maintenance.

  • Maintaining our new 240m2 workshop and covered wash bay.

  • Mobile repairs and maintenance on site, utilising our service truck.

  • Organising and maintaining vehicle registrations with our admin team.

  • Ordering lubricants and filters for our equipment.

  • Small engine repairs and maintenance.

  • Fabrication and welding experience is an advantage.

  • Assisting with plant operating where required.

We are looking for someone to take ownership and ensure we meet our requirements for ISO accreditation and meet servicing as per manufacturers specifications.

Wages/salary package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must have final trim experience in excavator and track loader.

  • Experience in detail & finish work.

  • Excavator, Track Loader, varied plant tickets

  • Current HR licence

Desirable Criteria:

  • Current HC licence is a definite advantage.

  • Experience with laser grading an advantage.

  • Tractor and implement experience an advantage.

  • Experience in survey & set out an advantage.

Rate will be commensurate with experience and skill.

  • Current valid driver’s licence

  • Operating skills in both excavator and track loader

  • Positive attitude

  • Team player

  • Trade qualified preferred but people with experience encouraged to apply
